A Great Story to read to students
I enjoy reading Stone Soup to students. It is a classic. What do you like to read to students?

Found any good Apps?
Educator's get together and the conversation is great! We talk about our students, tests, CCSS, new evaluation tools, NCLB, School funding, class size, district mandates, etc.
So, let's lighten it up a bit... have you found any great apps that you would like to share with our learning community?

Game Time
Post a game or activity that you incorporate in a lesson.
Let's talk about organizing small group instruction
Well, let's have a big conversation about a small group of students and the work that we do with them.
- How are they organized?
- Did you use data, of course, from...?
- What are your thoughts on small group instruction?
How do you know what your students know and are able to do?
Our work in the classroom is sacred. We plan, organize, write, rewrite, cut, paste, shop, draw, rehearse and finally you walk out to debut your work with the people who are to gain the most from this work ... the students
You've planned your unit of study. How do you organize this unit into daily chunks of instructional digestable learning meals for your hungry students?
What do the lessons look like? How are they aligned to the CCSS or are they?
Then there's my favorite question...how do you check for understanding? Is there assessment embedded in your lessons? What does that look like? How do you do it and how does it help the students and you the teacher?
